Independent public-evidence benchmark

Five signatures correspond.
Causation does not follow.

Ledger Zero independently recovered radar structures corresponding in time and location with Rainmaker signatures B–F. A and G were not reproduced. The primary window was not elevated against four frozen temporal controls.

What the instrument did

It kept observation, correspondence, causation, magnitude and uncertainty from collapsing into one convenient—but unsupported—answer.

Sealed blind run → post-seal reveal

Chronological replay

Move through the public Figure 5 frames. Cyan envelopes are detector candidates sealed before reveal; outlined regions are digitized operator boundaries revealed afterward.

Frozen temporal controls

Candidate activity is normalized by valid cell-area exposure. Change the sensitivity lane; the detector and thresholds remain frozen.

3.2468four-control mean
3.3392four-control median
3 of 5primary activity rank
Result: the event window is close to the control center and is not elevated at the aggregate level.

Evidence-state evolution

The benchmark advances only the claims supported by the available evidence. A radar feature can be observed without proving why it exists or how much precipitation it produced.

Correspondence and fidelity gaps

B–F show repeated frame-level overlap. A is a clear detector miss. G passes near sealed envelopes but never intersects one.

What cannot be inferred

The public benchmark is useful because its limits are explicit. These are not footnotes; they are part of the result.

Prohibited inferences

  • Five overlapping signatures do not prove five seeded signatures.
  • A non-elevated aggregate rate does not prove that no local seeded effect occurred.
  • The reported 57.62 acre-foot precision is not a total-error confidence statement.
  • The 19-million-gallon conversion does not validate the underlying volume.
  • Published cloud-seeding precedent does not validate this operation.

Minimum evidence to advance

  • Native time-stamped release telemetry
  • Native A–G polygon series or equivalent masks
  • All 27 Z–S relationships and executable QPE implementation
  • Per-gate inputs and quality-control decisions
  • Background and polygon-placement sensitivity analysis
  • Total uncertainty budget
  • Matched corridor and non-corridor controls
Proposed operational mode · not live validated

Continuous orientation during an operation

The benchmark shows how frozen evidence states can separate observation from inference. A future operational deployment would update those states as native telemetry, radar and control evidence arrive.
